- Description
- This position will work as a team member of the Southeast Alaska Marine Sport Harvest Survey (Creel) Project. This crew interviews returning sport anglers and collects biological samples from salmon and groundfish. The information collected is used to estimate the effort and harvest of sport caught species and provide valuable information to guide the management of Southeast Alaska fisheries. This position may also assist area management staff with local area office tasks/duties. Join ADF&G and gain critical hands-on experience in biological sampling, data quality control, and stakeholder interaction. These positions: -Work independently or in small teams outside -Interview returning sport anglers -Collect samples from over 20 important finfish and groundfish -Enter data electronically -This position is eligible for overtime; This position is physically demanding and requires bending, lifting and walking up and down docks for extended periods, sometimes in inclement weather.
