Under direct supervision, performs duties in support of all operations at Rocky Mountain Public Fishing Area. Operates and performs scheduled service and routine maintenance on a variety of vehicles and equipment, maintains and repairs buildings, campground and other structures, performs regular grounds maintenance and custodial care of public restrooms; assists with implementation of fisheries management plans, conducts lake fertilization and water quality monitoring, assists with fish population sampling, aquatic weed surveillance; fields public inquiries from anglers and boaters. This position is required to be on a scheduled rotation to open and close facility gates at dawn/dusk and perform some weekend and holiday duty.
High school diploma or GED
One year of work experience in natural resource management or related skilled trade.
• Current DNR/WRD employee
• Applicants with freshwater fisheries management experience
• Experience in plumbing, electrical, and/or carpentry and operation of mowers and tractors
