The Nez Perce Tribe Department of Fisheries Management - Research Division is recruiting for a FISHERIES TECHNICIAN I [HR-21-109] (Full-time). This is a shared position for the LSRCP/IRSSSM Project located in Joseph, OR (9 months) and the JCAPE M&E Project located in McCall, ID (3 months). The position will be based out of Joseph and a shuttle vehicle will be provided when travel to McCall is required. This position requires living in a remote field location (housing provided while on field assignment) working an 8 days on, 6 days off work schedule. Duties include installing and maintaining juvenile traps, handling, marking, identifying, and tagging fish, walking streams, maintaining field sites and equipment, and other related duties as assigned. Must be mechanically inclined and have good computer skills. Must be highly motivated and have the ability to work both as a team and independent. This position is open until filled.
This position requires a High School Diploma/GED; however, experience working in a natural resources field is preferred. The class/job description is available at the NPT Human Resources Department.
