These duties likely will include, but are not limited to, electrofishing, gillnetting, fish propagation, fish stocking, creel surveys, fish passage assessment, habitat improvements, river and stream sampling, fish aging (otoliths), telemetry, hydroacoustics, water quality monitoring, outreach, boat and trailer maintenance. Not all tasks will be performed at every location.
Applicants must be working toward a degree in fisheries management or closely related field. Recently graduated individuals seeking field experience are also encouraged to apply. Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license, good driving record, and the ability to clearly and effectively communicate and work independently with little supervision.
