Our lab studies how terrestrial communities are being altered by global change factors, including climate change, nutrient pollution, and altered land management. We work in grasslands, forests, and agroecosystems across the United States and investigate plant competition and traits, plant-herbivore interactions, and legume-rhizobial symbiosis. You can learn more about our current research projects here: https://www.communitydynamicslab.com/ We are interested in working with students to develop their own dissertation projects within the scope of our lab’s research themes. Interested students should email Kim Komatsu (kjkomatsu@uncg.edu) by December 20th with a brief summary of your past research experience and why you’re interested in joining our lab, as well as a CV.
