A Geographic Information System (GIS) Program Analyst position is available with Colorado State University’s Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands(CEMML). This position will act as the project liaison between CSU/CEMML and AFCEC, complete AFCEC level GIS support requests, and brief AFCEC leadership. Additional tasks can include, but are not limited to coordinating with subject matter experts, reviewing documents, and providing subject matter guidance and information.

BS or BA degree(s) in information technology, geographic information systems, geography, or environmental science, or related fields
Five years of related work experience in environmental related GIS is required.
Demonstrated working knowledge of applicable standards, such as SDSFIE (Spatial Data Standards for Facilities) and FGDC (Federal Geographic Data Committee).
Demonstrated experience and proficiency using Esri’s ArcGIS software for GIS data development, spatial analysis, and cartography
Demonstrated experience managing enterprise level GIS projects
The successful candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States by the proposed start date; CSU will not provide visa sponsorship for this position.
Must have a valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain a driver’s license by the employment start date.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and to take initiative to resolve issues.
Demonstrate superior verbal and written communication skills.
Candidate must be able to comply with all applicable regulations to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC). Furthermore, candidates are required at a minimum to complete a NACI/SF85 and successfully pass a federal background check to remain eligible for employment by CSU.
Significant experience with DoD and AFCEC missions and working knowledge of Air Force protocols for interacting with U.S. Air Force staff, MAJCOMS, installations and AFCEC, in particular, is helpful.
Working knowledge of the use of GIS in relation to compliance with environmental laws and regulations
Knowledge and experience in the U.S. Air Force GeoBase program
Knowledge and experience with Air Force environmental programs
Current National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI)
