The Boves and Neuman-Lee Labs at Arkansas State University are seeking one graduate student (M.S. in Biology) to conduct research in the fields of avian ecology, physiology, and biogeography. The specific project will involve studying how egg composition (in Prothonotary Warblers) varies across space and how this variation may influence both individual traits and the ability of species to respond to climate change. The project will involve both field and lab work; fieldwork will occur in Arkansas and Minnesota/Wisconsin. The student will be eligible for a teaching assistantship for three years that provides a 9-month stipend ($10,600/9-mo.) and $8,600 in dedicated funding for research and summer salary. The student would also be eligible to apply for an Arkansas Game and Fish Commission Conservation Scholarship, which, if received, would cover most of the tuition and fees for the student’s time at Arkansas State University.
