Data Team Lead - Human Resource Consultant 2 - Permanent - *22-16237 FULL-TIME/PERMANENT DATA TEAM LEAD HUMAN RESOURCE CONSULTANT 2 (HRC2) Director’s Office Olympia, Washington – Thurston County Provide professional support and guidance to WDFW staff on human resource issues related to reporting and data processing (hires, personnel actions, position actions, etc.). As the lead, this position assigns and prioritizes the work of the Data Team HRC1s and is responsible for providing continuous mentoring, determining training/development needs by checking in with staff regularly, and auditing work. With that in mind, This is an opportunity to analyze and compile data, utilizing several reporting systems. With your experience, you will consult with WDFW supervisors on rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. The optimal applicants are detail oriented, with experience running quality assurance reports to address gaps in procedures. You are excited to resolve complex HR technical processing issues. DUTIES Our Human Resource Consultant will, Enter, consult on, and file HR Data: -Monitor JIRA dashboard for HR action and hire requests (HR tickets). -Maintain data integrity by verifying that HR tickets have correct information and required attachments, and are in accordance with agency policy, procedures, WAC, statute, and -Collective Bargaining Agreements. -Enter HR tickets into HRMS (SAP). -Work with Payroll and IT to ensure they are notified of actions requiring their review. -Manage Data Team online filing system. Serve as Data Team lead: -Divide, assign and prioritize work to the HRC1s via program split or workload. -Routinely audit work of HRC1s. -Mentor and Train new Data Team staff WORKING CONDITIONS: -Work Setting, including hazards: -Works in an office setting. Work is fast paced, high volume and confidential. Schedule: -Typically 8:00 am-5:00 pm, Monday-Friday. -May be required to work occasional weekends and evenings, depending on workload. Travel Requirements: -Some travel may be required throughout the state to attend training, meetings, and conferences. Tools and Equipment: -Computer hardware and software, typical office equipment. Customer Interactions: -Providing excellent customer service to WDFW’s many programs is integral to Human Resources success. Qualifications
Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Closely related qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-by-year basis. A Bachelor’s degree with focus on business, human resources, social or organizational behavioral sciences, or related field AND One (1) year of professional experience providing technical support in a Human Resource or Payroll Office which may include processing personnel actions, recruitments, auditing records, consulting on interpretation of rules, collective bargaining articles, policies, and procedures for human resource issues. LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS: Valid Driver’s License PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Two (2) years of professional experience providing technical support in a Human Resource or Payroll Office which may include processing personnel actions, recruitments, auditing records, consulting on interpretation of rules, collective bargaining articles, policies, and procedures for human resource issues. Six (6) months of experience keying actions in HRMS. Six (6) months of experience utilizing an electronic ticketing system such as JIRA. Experience running reports with Washington Workforce Analytics (WWA). Expert level knowledge in Microsoft Office products.
