The Hunter Check Station Operators are responsible for weighing/measuring harvested game and biological sample collection (deer jawbone removal). Operator must be able to accurately and legibly complete data sheets. Maximum of 40 hours per week. Check Station Hours are 9:00am to 10:00pm during Archery and Muzzleloading Gun Seasons, 8:00am to 9:00pm during General Gun Season and 8:00am to 9:00pm during Spring Turkey Season. Archery Season: August 25 through September 16, 2018 Muzzleloading Gun Season: September 29 through October 14, 2018 General Gun Season: November 3, 2018 through January 1, 2019 Youth Turkey Hunt: February 23-24, 2019 Spring Turkey Season: March 2 through April 7, 2019 (Saturdays, Sundays and Wednesdays only) Full RV hookup (FHU) and laundry available at the Hunter Check Stations - 10 hours per week of volunteer work required in exchange for FHU during non-working periods.
Must be able to work independently once trained, be comfortable handling harvested game, interacting with the public in a professional manner and working long hours/evenings/weekends and some holidays. Contact or 561-624-6989 for more information/application.
