- Several Laboratory Technician Positions are available immediately in the lab of Anne Bronikowski (www.abronikolab.com) at Michigan State University's Kellogg Biological Station (https://www.kbs.msu.edu/). The lab studies the evolution of life-histories, with emphasis on comparative biology of aging reptiles. Funding is in hand for lab technicians whose duties would include assisting with experiments collecting DNA repair and mitochondrial health measures in squamates and turtles from US locations, archival and curation of frozen tissue library, maintaining laboratory records and database, and assisting with animal care. Additional opportunities for cross-training in field ecology and ecological genetics exist. Substantial publication opportunities are available, as well as developing scientific outreach and participating in activities at KBS that foster diversity, equity, and inclusion. B.S. degree required. Experience with, or a strong interest in, animal genetics and physiology necessary.
