Tennessee Parks and Greenways Foundation (TennGreen) is a statewide 501(c)(3) land conservation organization dedicated to preserving Tennessee’s natural treasures including waterfalls, bluffs, green spaces, working farms and forests, and wildlife areas. We are seeking a full-time (40 hours per week) Land Conservation Specialist to assist with our efforts in statewide land conservation and stewardship initiatives, landowner cultivation, and community outreach & education. The Land Conservation Specialist will report to the Director of Land Conservation. Hours may be flexible depending on work load. Periodic evening and weekend events, and travel as required.
Principle Functions: Land Protection, Stewardship, Landowner Cultivation and Outreach.
*Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience, in natural resources management or related field;
*Experience in GIS technology required;
*Ability to relate well and establish rapport with diverse audiences;
*Strong organizational skills, with demonstrable attention to detail, accuracy, and deadlines;
*Ability to manage multiple projects;
*Experience with real estate and/or conservation planning helpful, but not required.
*Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills;
*Independent and self-motivated;
*Familiarity with the geography, natural resources, and culture of Tennessee;
*Must be able to work outdoors in varying terrain and weather conditions.
