- Description
- The MaST Center Aquarium is hiring for our Lead Aquarist position. We are a community aquarium located near Seattle WA and situated over the waters of the Puget Sound. The Lead Aquarist runs a small team of part-time workers, volunteers, and interns. They are responsible for all aspects of life support and animal husbandry of our 3,500-gallon flow-through aquariums, which hold over 250 species of local Puget Sound life. A successful candidate isn’t happy with the status quo and works to improve the system both from the physical side, as well as through their team. This is a full-time position that includes great benefits.
- Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in biology, oceanography or a related field or equivalent experience and knowledge; OR Minimum of three year’s full-time equivalent experience involving the life support and the care and husbandry of marine vertebrates and invertebrates in a zoo, aquarium, or related environment; AND Rescue SCUBA certification.
