Western Colorado University invites applications for a lecturer position in Environmental Biology. Primary teaching responsibilities include lecture and laboratory courses in environmental biology, general biology, introductory soil science and other courses in support of the degree programs in Biology and Environment and Sustainability. The program in biology has approximately 250 majors, a comprehensive undergraduate curriculum, eight full-time faculty members, and a laboratory coordinator. The Clark School of Environment and Sustainability serves 200 students through our graduate and undergraduate majors, as well as a variety of co-curricular activities ranging from the campus garden to a multi-year service learning program to three annual conferences that bring students and community members together. The position requires teaching 24 semester credits per academic year with the possibility of some reassigned time to conduct environmental biology related research involving undergraduates.
