Description
The Department of Wildlife at Cal Poly Humboldt (formerly Humboldt State University) is inviting applications for a temporary lecturer with general expertise in Wildlife Biology for Fall 2022 and Spring 2023, with possibility of extension. We anticipate offering the successful applicant a full or nearly-full lecturer courseload appropriate to their expertise, including, potentially, our Senior Project and Senior Seminar courses, Introduction to Wildlife Conservation and Administration, Principles of Wildlife Management, Case Studies in Environmental Ethics, Ornithology, Wildlife Techniques, or an advanced course in the candidate's area of expertise within the Wildlife curriculum, depending on the applicant's expertise and interests. Note that an additional 4% increase to compensation schedules is due by August 2022 based on our new CBA. Qualifications
Qualifications: PhD or PhD candidate Wildlife or related field, and successful teaching experience with demonstrated topical expertise in the field of study are required. Preferred qualifications include relevance of training to appropriate area; teaching effectiveness as evidenced by evaluation of supervisors, colleagues, and/or students is preferred.
