We just opened up our applications for Crew Leader (early June - December 14th)! Our crews complete disaster mitigation, habitat restoration, trail projects, and provide disaster relief for the community and partners throughout Louisiana and the surrounding states. Every crew consists of two Crew Leaders, and eight Crew Members. All of our Crews work a similar schedule; either completing local work, or going on hitch to complete 10 day long projects. During their term, our Crew Leaders & Members are enrolled in an AmeriCorps term of service. In addition to on the job training, our members receive AmeriCorps benefits.
Louisiana Conservation Corps is looking for dedicated young adults to serve a 6 month Crew Leader term. We require all Crew Leader applicants to have at least 5 months of previous hands on conservation experience including but not limited to: Chainsaws Habitat Restoration Invasive Species Removal Trail Work LaCC provides our members with hands-on opportunities, extensive training in conservation and disaster response, and the freedom to develop personally and professionally. Our Crew Leaders help us facilitate training our members, therefore they need to have previous experience.
