The successful candidate will conduct research on wildlife in Great Lakes coastal wetlands, as part of a Great Lakes basin-wide monitoring effort funded by the EPA Great Lakes Restoration Initiative. Research will be incorporated into a long-term monitoring database for anuran and avian populations and continue a long-term study on muskrats in coastal wetlands. Start date could be 1 May 2022, if available. Academic requirements include a B.S. degree in biology, wildlife, or related field with GPA > 3.2. No GRE is required. Candidates must also have a valid driver’s license. Preferred candidates should have experience with population surveys, GIS, GPS, and statistical analyses. Preferred candidates should also have a strong work ethic, excellent verbal and written communication skills, leadership skills, demonstrated ability to interact positively with the public and agency personnel, ability to work independently, and able to conduct field work in a variety of conditions.
