- Description
- EARN YOUR MASTER’S DEGREE IN CONSERVATION BIOLOGY! ANTIOCH UNIVERSITY IS ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR FALL 2023 The Conservation Biology concentration in the Environmental Studies Master’s Program at Antioch University New England in Keene, NH, USA is accepting applications for fall 2023. Partial scholarships are available. Antioch Conservation Biology students build strong quantitative conservation skills in an interdisciplinary program that also emphasizes community engagement, social justice, and applied work. Students can earn their MS with either face-to-face or fully online classes (that can be taken from anywhere) which are offered each semester, or with a mixture of the two. Ecological field trip classes (intensive 1-2 week trips to destinations abroad and in-country) are also available for all students. All classes are just 1-2 days a week, making this a viable program for environmental professionals working part or full-time. Master’s students can work with Antioch faculty in our existing research programs in vertebrate ecology (e.g., birds, snakes), invertebrate ecology (e.g., estuarine invertebrates, insects), tropical ecology, forest ecology, alpine ecology, marine ecology, and coastal restoration. In some cases, faculty may have extramural funding to support students in seasonal field and lab positions. Students who are eligible for US federal work-study can also earn up to $6,500 per year in various on-campus work-study positions, including Graduate Teaching and Research Assistantships and various positions in our numerous campus centers (e.g., Institute for International Conservation, Spatial Analysis Lab). Students may also apply for internal and external scholarships such as the Tom Wessels Environmental Scholarship and others. Please apply by February 3rd or earlier (applications must be accepted by March 1 to obtain early consideration for scholarships).
