This position will serve as the park maintenance manager at Carvers Creek State Park, supervise and participate in the maintenance program including major repairs to buildings and roads, maintenance of all equipment, supervision of future maintenance mechanics and other sources of labor, maintenance and operation of maintenance areas and water systems. Directly responsible for planning and supervising all major maintenance, trails and capital improvement projects. Performs maintenance construction technician III level work in the following trades: carpentry, masonry, electrical, welding, small gasoline engine repair and plumbing. Performs the following at the semi-skilled level; hvac, automotive mechanics and horticulture work. Prepares project estimates for fabrications and installations and prepares bids for and monitors informal sub-contract work. Supervises subordinate employees and participates in conducting routine housekeeping tasks, maintenance of buildings and facilities, and grounds maintenance. Serves as park safety coordinator and prepares and presents training programs and conducts hazard analysis.
Within 90 days of hire date, must have the ability to obtain:
A valid class A-Commercial Driver's License (CDL) to drive various classes of vehicles and tractors.
Within 12 months of hire date, must have the ability to obtain and maintain:
A valid Public Pesticide Applicator's License
A valid First Responder Certification.
A valid CPR Certification.
