Under the direction of the Assistant Park Superintendent and Lead Maintenance Specialist, this position is responsible for performing all phases of maintenance and repair to facilities, buildings, equipment, and grounds at Palo Duro Canyon State Park. Duties may include but not limited to cabin, restroom, and grounds cleaning, maintenance and upkeep. Assists other staff with completion of functions and park maintenance necessary to meet public expectations and all park visitors' needs. Follows purchasing procedures for supplies, tools, equipment, etc. Performs additional duties as assigned. Complies with all Agency, Division and Branch rules, regulations and procedures.
Graduation from High School or GED.
Three years facility, equipment or grounds maintenance experience.
If driving is required, applicant must possess a valid State driver's license;
Must possess or be able to obtain, within one year of employment, a Texas Department of Agriculture Noncommercial Political Subdivision (NCPS) Pesticide Applicator License.
NOTE: Retention of position contingent upon obtaining and maintaining required license.
Three years experience in electrical, carpentry, or plumbing repairs to buildings, facilities, and grounds;
Experience working with the public.
