- Gulf Specimen Marine Lab is a public aquarium, marine life educational facility, biological supply to universities and aquariums for educational purposes and a sea turtle rehabilitation center. This position would involve helping in all different aspects of operations. With this position we would provide free housing with utilities and a $9.50 per hour living stipend. Gulf Specimen Marine Lab is working with AmeriCorp to provide this position. This position would be ideal for recent graduates with a bachelors or masters in marine biology or related field looking to gain experience in the areas listed above before moving on to a career or to a graduate program. You would need to work the position for about 11 months (there is a certain number of hours required according to AmeriCorp). Once completed AmeriCorp does provide funding toward a graduate degree program.
