The successful applicant will be responsible for evaluating the effects of harvest on Smallmouth Bass populations in SD through capture-recapture and population dynamics modelling. The student will be responsible for conducting data analysis, preparing reports, and writing manuscripts for publication.
A B.S. degree in fisheries or related field and fieldwork experience. Candidates with demonstrated written and oral communication skills and strong academic credentials and work ethic are preferred. Strong quantitative and computer-based skills in modeling and statistics and prior experience in mark-recapture analysis are highly desirable.
Start date is January-May 2022.
