- Description
- The Spatial Ecology and Conservation Science Lab is seeking a highly motivated graduate student to join the lab in Fall 2022. The student will work on landscape ecological models to understand wildlife habitat in tropical montane cloud forests of Panama across multiple scales. Students from historically underrepresented backgrounds are highly encouraged to apply. Fluency in Spanish is strongly preferred. For international students, please also submit TOEFL scores. Students from most Western States can qualify for in-state tuition through the Western Regional Graduate Program (WRGP). If you are not a California resident or a member of one of the participating Western States, please contact Dr. Wan as soon as possible to discuss the potential for an out of state tuition waiver.

- Minimum qualifications: · Undergraduate degree in Ecology, Biology, Wildlife, Natural Resources, Environmental Sciences, Forestry, or related discipline Preferred qualifications: · Spanish fluency · Research experience (data collection, analysis, and writing) · Experience in GIS · Experience in coding, such as R, python, JavaScript, etc.
