- Description
- The Venturelli Lab at Ball State University has funding for motivated and creative MSc and PhD students to explore the application of online and mobile data to a diversity of fisheries topics (e.g., invasive species, climate change, management, human dimensions) in collaboration with universities, agencies, and conservation organizations. Our highest priority is a PhD student to assess three sources of novel data for predicting the presence/absence and spread of aquatic invasive species.
- Qualifications
- The preferred candidate will be available January 2023, have a BSc (if applying for MSc) and MSc (if applying for PhD) in a relevant field, be experienced or interested in R and ArcGIS, have a healthy relationship with science writing, and work both collaboratively and independently. Courses and other training are available to (further) develop these skills. Women and members of historically underrepresented groups are especially encouraged to apply. Alternative start dates are May and August 2023. Open until filled.
