Under direction of the Division Administrator, supervises professional staff, and plans, develops, coordinates, and evaluates the statewide Grassland Wildlife Program; provides major assistance in the formulation of policies and procedures and management guidelines; administer and controls expenditure and allocates program resources; recommends changes in existing statutes, and reviews legislation and administrative orders; consults with the Division Administrator in the planning, coordinating and implementing of inter and intra-agency research projects; researches, compiles, prepares/presents technical papers and reports; conducts liaison activities with other State, Federal and local agencies, organizations and the general public.
Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of a Bachelor’s degree in wildlife or natural heritage resource management. Requires six years progressively responsible professional experience in wildlife resource management.
