This project aims to identify how anglers influence fish communities and how these fish communities respond to angling. As part of this effort, multiple creel clerks will be hired to interview anglers in-person at reservoirs across western Nebraska. The research-nature of this project requires that interviews occur on randomly selected days within each month (April-October). The assigned work schedule will vary from week to week. Interviews must be performed on week days (10 per month) and weekend days (6 per month), as well as on holiday weekends (July 4, Memorial Day, and Labor Day). Each day will consist of an approximately 8-hour shift in either the morning or the afternoon. The position starts March 14th and runs through November 11th, 2022. Mandatory training will occur March 14th - 18th in Lincoln, NE. Clerks will work closely with local fisheries biologists. Job duties include on-site angler surveys and data entry. Do not hesitate to contact us if you have questions about the position.
Prospective employee is subject to all University of Nebraska-Lincoln hiring requirements including, but not limited to, driving and criminal background checks.
