- This position requires the ability to work independently. The main job duties include conducting deer and goose damage inspections for Tuscola, Huron and Sanilac counties as needed. Tasks include meeting with farmers and inspecting damage, mailing deer damage permits and kill tags, and keeping detailed records. Assist with Deer Management Assistance Permit applications along with taking deer heads and other specimens to the DNR disease lab at MSU as needed. This position will also assist with game area maintenance, building maintenance, goose, and duck banding as needed.

- The Wildlife Division hires more than 55 seasonal employees during the spring/summer season to work at the various locations throughout the state, including State Field Offices, DNR Customer Service Centers, and the State Game Areas. These positions are perfect for college students, those looking to re-enter the workforce and seniors or retirees looking to be involved in the outdoors. Seasonal staff help in several areas, such as: Assisting with wildlife habitat maintenance and improvement, which may include cutting clearings and adjusting water levels. Mowing, landscaping and facility maintenance duties. Handling tasks related to wildlife surveys, nuisance animal control and equipment operation and maintenance.
