The Nursery Production Coordinator duties focus on maintaining the health and vitality of planting stock for reforestation and new nursery crops. To meet this challenge the coordinator is responsible for doing routine nursery tasks in and around the greenhouses. This includes completion of cultural, biological and mechanical tasks which maintain the health and vitality of the seedlings. This requires someone who is highly motivated with strong communication and organizational skills to maintain the continuity of growing our superior conifer seedlings.
•Valid driver’s license.
•Two-year (AA/AS) or four-year (BA/BS) degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Botany, Forestry or closely related field of study or the equivalent combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
•Certified pesticide applicators license or qualifications and willingness to pursue QAC/QAL within the first year of employment.
•Recent experience working in an agricultural, horticultural or forestry setting, primarily in the field, greenhouse, or the woods. Such work experience should include the use of farm/nursery machinery, forklift operation, conveyors, mowers, and/or other pieces of like equipment.
