Job Description: Would you love the opportunity to work with hunters, anglers and other wildlife recreationalists to help promote wildlife awareness and share in their enthusiasm? The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources (DWR) is seeking an Office Specialist I to assist in the front office operations of the DWR, Northern Regions Office in Ogden, Utah. Principal Duties: As a Office Specialist, you will: Receive, research and respond to incoming calls with question or complaints. Provide expert resources and resolving procedural difficulties in interpreting rules and regulations pertinent to license, permit, certificate of registration (COR) and duplicate sales. Oversee issuing of electronic hunting and fishing licenses, permits, COR and duplicate documents Process cash transaction, balancing cash drawer, prepare and reconcile daily revenue reports Manage inventory of hunter education supplies, working with instructors Track and order office supplies Access data and generate requested reports Other duties as assigned, such as keeping current on all DNR and DWR polices; assist with tagging bobcats and cougars, measuring swan bills, ensuring the accuracy of data entry for these species. The Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate will possess... Experience working in a high volume front desk office environment. Proficient in interpreting wildlife code and regulation and effectively communicating to our constituents. Experience with a point of sale system operations, cash handling and reconciliation procedures. Experience using computers, common software (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.) copiers and other small office equipment. Ability to work well in a team and be willing to help others. Typical Qualifications: Type speed of 40 wpm Skilled with cash handling and balancing daily sales. Skilled in general office practices and functions, customer service and telephone communications, excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to deal with difficult people. Ability to learn, understand and explain Utah's hunting and fishing regulations. Experience with supply inventory. Ability to handle animal carcasses
