Outdoor Coordinator for Clemson University’s Youth Learning Institute
Start: September 2019 (52 week position)
Pay: $325/week with room, board and sickness/accidental insurance
Duties include: Recruiting and scheduling rental groups, high and low ropes instruction, Road Scholar instruction and activities manager, payroll management, assists director in day-to-day operations of the Pickens and Hannon sites, Exploration Curriculum counselor and assisting with C-CATS programing.
Road Scholars: Hiking in North and South Carolina with age groups 50 and above.
C-CATS: Introducing middle school and high school students to the Clemson University experience.
Exploration Hannon: Mountain and aquatic ecology filed study program.

Qualifications
•BA or BS in Environmental Education, Natural Sciences, Forestry, Geology, Education, Marine Science, or Wildlife Biology.
•Must have the patience, understanding, flexibility, and a lot of energy.
•Must demonstrate teaching skills and the ability to implement creative “hands on” teaching methods.
•Must be willing to sacrifice, adapt and work hard as part of a team pursuing an objective.
•Must be physically able to perform the tasks required to teach outdoors.
•Must be willing to work long hours.
