Located between Denver and Colorado Springs and with the Rampart Range of the Rockies as your setting, you will have the opportunity to grow professionally and personally in a dynamic working environment. The Lead Instructor provides support and mentorship for seasonal Program Instructors as well as operational support for Administration. The Lead assists with various programs occurring at Stone Canyon, including but not limited to residential outdoor education (OE), day retreats, and corporate teambuilding. During OE, Stone Canyon provides around the clock supervision to students, both during activities and at night in the cabins. To support the program, the Lead instructor will welcome groups, create schedules, establish and maintain effective working relationships, and have weekly on-call nights (1-2 nights per week). To support the instructional staff, the Lead instructor will specifically be a liaison between instructors and administration, while looking out for instructor basic needs. The Lead instructor will also provide instructional feedback for seasonal staff through class observations and is expected to provide a fun and safe environment for all clients. Minimum Requirements: -Be at least 21 years old -Possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent experience -Have 2-3 seasons of OE, summer camp or related experience -CPR and First Aid Certified -Pass a criminal background check Enjoy working with young people -Enjoy sharing their passion for the outdoors and personal growth with others!
