- We are seeking a part-time outreach coordinator for CSU Desert Studies Center for one year. This position involves the development and delivery of educational and outreach materials supporting the protection of desert plants, including social media. - Qualifications
- Essential qualifications: Proficiency with office software (Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms). Familiarity with desert ecosystems and native plants. Enthusiasm for communicating about biodiversity. Preferred qualifications: Bachelor's degree in biology, education, or communication. Experience with digital content creation and managing organizational social media accounts. Experience with design software (such as Canva or Illustrator). Familiarity with deserts and the off-road vehicle recreation community. Experience with informal education in museums or other venues. Experience with graphic design using platforms such as Illustrator or Canva. Excellent interpersonal communication skills and writing ability.
