A position is available for a Ph.D. student to conduct ecological and conservation research on small rodent species (e.g., cricetids and heteromyids). Project may entail extensive field-based studies, analysis of pre-existing datasets, GIS habitat modeling, and/or studies at biogeographic spatial scales. Experience in live-trapping rodents and/or in using ArcGIS Pro would be helpful but not necessary. Four years of funding (at $3,300/month) as a Research Assistant is available. Start date can be anytime between June 1 and September 1, 2023. Applicants should have an M.S. degree in Biology, Environmental Science, Geography, or related discipline.
