The Ecosystem Modeling Lab in the Department of Natural Resource Ecology at Oklahoma State University is seeking applicants for a funded Ph.D. research assistant. The successful candidate will work with Dr. Jia Yang on scientific topics regarding wildfire impacts on ecosystem structure and functions in Oklahoma, the southern Great Plains, and the western United States through ecosystem modeling and remote sensing techniques.

• MS degree in ecology, geoscience, atmospheric science, natural resource management or related field.
• Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or greater (as required by the Department and Graduate College)
• Demonstrated excellence in English (written and oral) communication skills
• Enthusiasm for problem solving and data analysis.
• Interest or experience in computer programming (such as C, C++, Fortran, Python, and R).
