Description
Candidate will conduct research on improving Eastern oyster broodstock conditioning success and understanding implications on gamete quality, larval performance, metamorphic success and post-metamorphic performance. Research will be conducted at the Auburn University Shellfish Lab on Dauphin Island, AL, where the student is expected to reside after coursework is completed on the main campus in Auburn, AL. The student is anticipated to start August 2020 or as negotiated. The student is anticipated to start August 2020 or as negotiated. Stipend ($21,000/year), tuition waiver. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in fisheries, aquaculture, comparative physiology, ecology, biology or related field with competitive GPA and GRE scores. Research experience is preferred.
