We are seeking applicants for a PhD student to join our lab in August 2020. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to develop an independent project focusing on non-human primate vision (focusing on topics such as attention, cognition, and behavior) using captive primates (monkeys and apes) as a model system. Please review our lab website to learn more about our research: http://people.tamu.edu/~jyorzinski/.
Potential candidates should contact Dr. Jessica Yorzinski by email (email@example.com) as soon as possible, including a brief statement of previous research experience and plans for future research, current GPA, CV, unofficial transcript, and GRE scores and percentiles. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue on a rolling basis. Successful applicants can apply through the EEB program (https://eeb.tamu.edu). Applicants eligible for this diversity fellowship (http://ogaps.tamu.edu/Buttons/Funding-opportunities/Graduate-Diversity-Fellowships.aspx) are especially encouraged to apply.
Applicants should possess a strong understanding of basic principles of primate behavior, ecology, and evolution. They will ideally have prior research experience.
