Vermont Youth Conservation Corps (VYCC) is seeking Pro Trails Crew Members to work on Conservation Crews and make a difference in communities throughout Vermont. Pro Trail Crews will work to improve trails across Vermont and into neighboring states. These crews will complete trail maintenance (full bench construction, brushing, stonework, and some small carpentry projects).
Pro Crew Members gain technical skills to help them be competitive in their next adventures while building a new network of colleagues. A successful Pro Crew participant is able to work in challenging conditions, complete high-quality work, be a supportive member of their crew, and work well both independently and as a part of a small team. If you are excited to develop your technical skills, work alongside other conservation professionals, and have a positive impact in Vermont, this position is for you.
These positions will run from August 29th or October 31st, 2022 (we can be flexible with start and end dates). This crew will operate on a hitch schedule (for example, 5 days on, 2 days off OR 9 days on, 5 days off). This position requires long days outdoors in the elements.
