- RES is looking for a Part-Time Quality, Safety, Health & Environment Specialist, based out of our Miami, FL offices. This is a 7 to 12 month contract position (potentially extendable) that will serve our project at PortMiami supervising dredging and beneficial reuse operations. This job will require working for up to 30 hours a week. This candidate will be comfortable working independently in a largely field-based role. What your day-to-day might look like? 70% of your time, you will be in the field visiting sites: Visiting field-based crews, providing training as needed, providing equipment inspections, and performing incident reports/inspections. 30% of your time, you will be in-office: Collaborating with the safety team, hosting safety committee meetings, assisting with communication and coordination with disposal facilities, organizing haul tickets and assisting with weekly reporting to the client.
- Qualifications
- We would like to talk to you if you have many of the following: AS/BS in a relevant field of study or equivalent work experience. 2+ years of experience with an emphasis on heavy machinery and excavation safety Experience with construction sites and excavation, preferably on a large scale and in Florida. What will make you stand out: Experience with GPS and GIS a plus. OSHA 30 training preferred but will train if needed. Preferred experience with safety on construction sites and more specifically in dredging projects.
