- WildLife Ranch Solutions has an opening for a Ranch and Wildlife consultant. The ideal candidate will have a BS degree in biological sciences or a similar degree with desired coursework in forestry, animal husbandry, and/or range sciences. We will consider candidates with backgrounds ranging from a strong background in animal health and land management to a bachelors degree in a related field. We are interested in finding an eager, dedicated, hard-working individual who is interested in joining our experienced and dynamic team, and growing with WRS into the future. - Necessary Skills Include: - Strong attention to detail required - Ability to organize complex work assignments with little supervision. -Ability to deal with the public in a tactful and courteous manner. - Ability to work independently with minimum supervision. -Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. -Ability to communicate with the public in formal settings. -Ability to participate in intensive field work conditions. - Native plant and invasive weed ID skills - Livestock health assessment experience - Range health assessment experience - General knowledge of exotic animal species - Strong communication, organizational and critical thinking skills - Ability to work independently - Capable of working alone in remote areas - Data entry skills - Agriculture, bioresources or natural sciences major is an asset (with experience in ecology and range management) - Valid driver's license -Ability to travel
