One-year appointment for nine-month faculty position to start Fall 2021. Teaching responsibility includes 12 credit hours per semester. The successful applicant will assist the department by teaching Range Plants, Environmental Biology, non-major Biology, Rangeland Condition and Manipulation, and Wildlife Management. The new faculty member might offer an upper division specialty course as appropriate to the candidate’s background, meeting departmental enrollment needs, and complementary to existing expertise within the department. The successful applicant will also be expected to assist with undergraduate research mentoring or departmental service responsibilities. Instructors are expected to participate in advising, scholarly activities, and service.
MS or ABD in biology or closely related field
Earned Ph.D. in biology or closely related field
Higher education teaching experience (lecture and lab)
Proven ability to advise and mentor students (academic and research)
Plans for research program involving undergraduate students
