- Overview: River Valley Raptors is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of the driftless area through educational programming using live birds of prey. Specific Duties and Responsibilities: • Clean bird facilities and feed birds daily • Assist with bird training with both education and falconry raptors • Handle birds during educational programs • Present public educational programs • Provide enrichment • Raise baby quail • Provide activities for River Valley Raptor’s outdoor raptor school
- Qualifications
- Qualifications: • Must be at least 18 years of age and enrolled in or recently graduated from a college or university • Must be able to lift 50 pounds • Must be willing to prepare food items for raptors (rats, mice, quail, rabbit, etc.) • Must have strong work ethic and be dependable • No prior raptor handling experience necessary How to apply: Please email your cover letter and resume with 3 references to RiverValleyRaptors@gmail.com Internship is unpaid but room and board provided. *Start and End Date are flexible
