In this position, you will support the activities in the landscape and turfgrass entomology lab at Auburn University The field based program currently has 5 graduate students with mainly outdoor projects including urban pollinator research and research with pests in nurseries. In this position, you will be part of the team gaining a wide range of experience in insect science and ecology, biological control, and insect management. You will conduct and assist in research planning and execution; Provides support to students through organizing resources; and Ensure that all biological research subjects are maintained, and that the lab, equipment and vehicles are clean and in working order. Minimum education level is Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. No experience required but research experience in biological science or with insects is desired. Amount of experience or graduate training will factored into determining the position level (I, II, III). You must possess excellent organizational and problem solving skills, be able to work independently and alongside teammates, and have the ability to effectively communicate to a diverse stakeholder group. You must have a valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain one prior to employment.
