- Description
- I am seeking a full-time research associate to assist with field sampling on rivers in the southeast US, primarily in AL waters. Applicants should have experience identifying fishes, operating boats on rivers, and sampling riverine fishes. The successful applicant will also help prepare reports, age fish, conduct basic fisheries analyses, etc.
- Qualifications
- A BS degree in fisheries, ecology, biology, or related field. Applicants should have experience operating boats especially on river systems, electrofishing, setting nets, ageing fish, and conducting routine boat maintenance. Applicants should have excellent communication skills and be able to communicate and get along well with a wide variety of people including students, agency biologists, land owners, etc. Interested persons should send a CV, cover letter, and contact information for 3 professional references to Dr. Shannon Brewer.
