- Description
- Fisheries intern will assist fisheries biologist and technician with tributary and lake assessment work in the Upper Clark Fork drainage. The intern will also assist a graduate student investigating diet of salmonids in Georgetown Lake and other limnological work on Georgetown Lake. Long term monitoring data collection efforts are also established in tributaries with important native species populations and this position will assist with this data collection effort.
- Qualifications
- SKILLS, ABILITIES, KNOWLEDGE NEEDED (EDUCATION; UNDERGRAD/GRAD LEVEL,): Basic knowledge of biology and biological methods for sampling populations are important with an emphasis on fisheries. Basic fish identification skills would also be advantageous. Previous experience conducting fish sampling will also be assessed during the hiring process.
