- Description
- The Parks and Recreation Safety Manager (Safety Consultant) reports to the DNCR Safety Director in the Central Human Resources Office. This position also works daily in collaboration with the State Parks Deputy Director of Operations to coordinate efforts to support the State Parks in EH&S matters. The primary purpose of this position is to develop and maintain a comprehensive environmental, health, and safety (EH&S) program to reduce risk of EH&S incidences, to employees and visitors as low as reasonably achievable.
- Qualifications
- Bachelors degree with a major in safety engineering, industrial engineering, industrial management or technology, occupational safety, or one of the physical sciences or an equivalent technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution and a minimum of three years of progressive occupational and safety and health experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
