Internship time periods: 2 positions available from mid-September to mid-March. Mandatory start date is September 15th.
Description of Internship: This internship is a bi-disciplinary program aimed at providing the intern with experience in two aspects of sea turtle conservation: Public education and sea turtle rehabilitation/husbandry. Interns will spend 50% of their time working in our educational complex and will be required to give educational presentations, promote adoptions and memberships, and assist in the gift shop, among other tasks. Interns will also spend 50% of their time working in our rehabilitation center assisting our staff with daily rehab procedures and husbandry tasks such as food prep for our patients and residents, water quality, and tank cleaning.

Requirements: Applicants must be college graduates in biological science, wildlife and fisheries science, environmental science, or other related fields. U.S. citizenship or USCIS permit to work in the U.S. is required. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and hold a valid driver's license. Interns must be comfortable working in adverse weather conditions.
