Bat Conservation International and Texas State University are seeking qualified candidates to serve as seasonal technicians from approximately 19 July through 1 November 2017 to conduct bat fatality searches at an operational wind energy facility in south Texas
Successful applicants will conduct searches for bat carcasses beneath wind turbines, and enter and manage data.
Applicants must be conduct themselves in a professional manner, be willing and capable of conducting field work in moderately rugged terrain under physically demanding conditions (e.g., hot temperatures, venomous snakes, biting insects, etc.), be willing to work atypical hours, and can live and work well with a research team. Applicants must also possess a valid Driver's license.
Applicants must have at least a Bachelor's degree in biology, ecology, wildlife management or a related discipline. Preferred interest in science and research.
