Shellfish Assistant Project Leader

Located in Newport, make a difference with Oregon's shellfish fisheries! Monitor multiple shellfish fisheries including crab, clams, and other groups. Provide technical support for study design, reporting of harvest activities, statistical analyses, biological assessments, and shellfish management. Participate in field research and communicate with shellfish harvesters to explain rules and regulations, natural history and life history information, and harvest techniques.

Requires two years of biological experience with one year of at least two of the following: gathering data, analyzing data, or preparing reports; and a Bachelor's degree in Fisheries or Wildlife Science or a closely-related Bachelor's degree or three additional years of biological experience. A Master’s or Doctorate degree will substitute for some experience.
