The School of Biological Sciences and Center for Aquaculture, Fisheries, and Aquatic Sciences at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale are seeking a highly motivated MS student to conduct study on shrimp nutrition. This project will specifically look at culture methods that will support intensive shrimp production in recirculated systems. The results of this research will generate new knowledge on how different feeding approaches and environmental manipulation affect shrimp growth performance and survival in intensive production systems. Potential student should have BS in Aquaculture, Animal Science, or related field and GPA > 3.2. Previous research experience in a lab is highly desirable.
