POWER Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Staff Geologist for our Austin South, TX office. We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills; strong organizational skills; and the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and anticipate team needs.
The successful candidate will interact with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals throughout the firm who are focused on solving our client’s environmental challenges. This Environmental Scientist will scope, perform, and deliver project assignments, with the associated responsibility for meeting profitability, quality management, and safety goals. This position requires travel within Texas that could be in excess of 25%.

•BS in Geology, Environmental Science, or related field
•Three (3) to five (5) years professional environmental consulting experience
•Familiarity with GIS processes and experience using AutoCAD
•Experience with environmental due diligence, including Phase I and Phase II ESAs, preferably at industrial properties
•Experience with environmental compliance auditing, site investigation and remediation
•Familiarity with major health and safety regulations
•MS in Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Science a plus
•On-track to acquiring professional certification (Professional Geologist) is a plus
•Past successful management experience is a plus
