Description
Center for Wildlife Studies and Matson’s Lab is searching for a summer intern. The intern will learn well-established laboratory protocol to produce high-quality histology data (75%) and assist with developing new lab protocols (25%) with a research team from the CWS, University of Kentucky, and Michigan State University. The Lab will provide all required training necessary to complete the summer internship. A successful intern will also have the option to begin a full-time, entry-level wildlife technician position (eligible for benefits that include additional compensation for health insurance and retirement plan), starting in the fall of 2023, and potentially have the option to pursue graduate school with partners in 2024. Qualifications
- BS in the biological sciences and a strong interest in wildlife - Works well independently and in small groups - Self-motivated and hard-working with a positive attitude - Experience following established laboratory protocols
